Pour the Epsom salt in a mixing bowl.

Add Citric Acid. ( You can find citric acid in the canning section of your local grocery store. )

Add the sodium bicarbonate a.k.a baking soda .

Stir this mixture gently because citric acid is airborne and gets everywhere!

Mix in the mineral oil or olive oil. If you chose to add food coloring, now is the time! ️

Put as much as you want, but be aware that adding to much coloring can stain your tub!

Get the essential oil, I'm using lavender.

Add as much as you like.

I added a little vanilla, so it will be a lavender & vanilla bath salts . If you chose to do the same, add about 1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Bath salts in action!

What it will look like when it's dry. You have to crumble it up.

That's it ! ️

Tip**When I tried the recipe for the second time, I found that the colors get incorporated thoroughly if you whisk it well into the Epsom salt first , then mix the baking soda and citric acid.
